Cato Maren Consulting is led by Catriona Macmillan.

Catriona was born in Glasgow, yet raised and educated in the Middle East, Europe and Scotland before being awarded a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Edinburgh. She joined the John Lewis Partnership as a graduate trainee and over the years, with rapid promotion, held a variety of management, training and development roles with this top UK retailer. These included operational, strategic and project management positions.

Following an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School, Catriona has worked as a management consultant with a wide variety of clients, both large and small, from both the public and private sectors. She is also a skilled facilitator and trainer.

For several years, Catriona served on the Scottish Regional Committee of the former Institute of Management Consultancy, (now the Institute of Business Consulting). Committed to continuing her own professional development, Catriona has qualified as a Licensed Business Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with The Society of NLP. More recently, she has completed an International Coach Federation endorsed course in Coaching Skills.

Her practical application of communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills were put to the ultimate test during her participation in the Global Challenge Round the World Yacht Race 2004-5. She continues to enjoy a wide variety of activities from sailing to singing and dancing.
